Financing Applications. If you begin a lease-to-own or financing application, we use your contact information to follow up with you about that application, to help you complete it, and to notify you of your approval status. We are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions. Approval decisions are made solely by our third-party financing providers based on their own criteria.

Marketing and Advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, such as to send marketing, advertising, and promotional communications by email, text message, or postal mail, and to show you advertisements for products or services on the Services or other websites based on your activity and purchases. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time as described below.

The Home Furniture Outlet operates two separate SMS programs. Both require your express consent, and you may opt out of either at any time.

1. Transactional and Customer Care Messages

We send messages about a financing application you started, an order you placed, a delivery we are scheduling, or an inquiry you made.

How we obtain consent. In store, consent is obtained through our Terms and Conditions form, which customers review, sign, and date prior to the completion of their transaction. Signed consent records are retained on file. Online, consent is obtained when you submit a form on our website that includes a clear disclosure stating that by providing your phone number you authorize The Home Furniture Outlet to contact you by phone and text regarding your inquiry and application.

Message types. Financing application follow-up, approval notifications, order status updates, delivery scheduling, pickup coordination, and appointment reminders.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your activity. You may receive up to 5 messages per order and up to 5 messages per financing application.

2. Marketing and Promotional Messages

We send sale announcements, new arrivals, and store event notifications only to customers who have separately and affirmatively consented to receive them.

How we obtain consent. Through a separate, optional checkbox on our forms, which is not pre-selected. Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of applying for financing or of purchasing any goods or services.

Message frequency. No more than 8 messages per month.

Upon opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent, except messages necessary to complete a transaction you have already started.
